What would happen if I hooked an amplifier up to vehicle’s main power line?

I know you are supposed to run a wire from the amp to battery but was just wondering.

You would most likely blow a main fuse and all car systems would go dead. This main fuse is about $40 to replace not to mention your car would be dead in the water until you replaced the fuse.
